Can I use Square One with my existing broadband router?
Yes. You can connect Square One's WAN port to an open LAN port on your broadband router.
In order to use Square One as your Web or FTP server, however, you must configure port-forwarding
in your broadband router to send appropriate data packets to Square One. See How-To's for more
information on this subject.
Can I use Square One with my Mac?
Yes. Square One also supports Apple Talk for earlier versions of Mac OS.
Can I run Windows applications on Square One?
No. Square One runs the Linux operating system.
Can I upgrade the hard drive later?
Yes. You can remove the existing hard drive and install a new one. We provide the hard drive
image installation file in the Support section of our Website. We recommend that you back up the
files on the old drive to another computer or back-up device before removing it. Keep in mind that
our warranty does not apply to the new hard drive that you install.
How many users can use Square One concurrently?
Square One can serve up to 250 client PCs concurrently. However, the performance will degrade
with the increasing number of clients. We recommend using Square One in a 5 to 20 user environment.
What versions of APM (Apache-PHP-MySQL) does Square One support?
Square One is pre-installed with Apache version 1.3.x, PHP version 4.1.x, and MySQL version
3.32.x.
Can Square One host multiple Websites?
By default, Square One is configured to host only one Website. You can, however, configure
Square One to host multiple Websites. For details, see How-To's.
Can I attach an external hard drive to Square One?
No. Square One does not support external hard drives.

Yes. There are multiple ways to access your files.
- You can access the files on the Shared folder using Windows Explorer.
- You can store or retrieve files using FTP.
- You can store or retrieve files using the Web Drive.
